A taster of the opening brainstorm page of my recent art study on obsession. The ink pen drawing illustrates one idea- of society's obsession with materialistic happiness, how our lives are now dictated by materialism and consumerism.
The matrix of lines coinciding with the illustration are sentences cut out from an old book, i've delved into the link between obsession and collection- much like the obsessive compulsive hoarding disorder. In my mind I envision symmetry and intricacy when I think of collectibles, another reason I presented this idea in this way.
Portfolio preparation has happily taken over my weekend, but with the end of study leave the chaos will begin all too soon again. I wish life was simple again, when my hair tie being too tight was my biggest issue.
